Itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL
Upon your arrival at the Erzurum airport, you will be transported to your luxurious hotel and will have the chance to get settled in. Explore the 5-star amenities and take time to sample the relaxing spa facilities, such as the traditional Turkish Hamam. Savour a traditional buffet dinner in the finely appointed dining room with panoramic views overlooking the mountain landscape.
Day 2: FIRST DAY OF SKIING
After enjoying a delicious breakfast buffet, pick up your ski rentals right in the hotel and enjoy the opportunity to spend the morning with an experienced ski instructor. If you so choose, your instructor will spend one-on-one time with you on the slopes right outside the hotel and teach you all of the basic skiing techniques. Spend the afternoon trying out your new skills on the gentle slopes, or for more advanced skiers, explore the challenging runs that Mt. Palandöken has to offer. When you are done for the day, help yourself to the delicious and extensive selection in the dining room before enjoying some much-deserved rest in the comfort of your hotel.
Day 3: TRY OUT YOUR NEW SKILLS
Today you will spend a wonderful day in the fresh air skiing Mt. Palandöken. This mountain offers a great range of routes suitable for differing levels of skill, great for those that are learning, yet it also includes some challenging runs for the thrill seekers. For dinner this evening, you will be able to enjoy a famous local dish, Çağ Kebab, served at a charming restaurant in the heart of the city.
Day 4: EXPLORE AND REST
Today you will have the opportunity to rest your skiing muscles and explore the rich history of Erzurum, the largest city in Eastern Turkey. After a leisurely morning breakfast, you will travel with a guide to the Nene Hatun monument at Fort Aziziye, the 13th century Çifte Minaret Madrassa, magnificent Erzurum Castle, and other popular Erzurum historical sites.
Day 5: BUILD ON YOUR EXPERIENCE
During your final day here, you will be able to experience another magnificent mountain as you try out some new skiing routes on Mt. Konaklı, a 20 minute drive from your hotel. At the end of your day, you will be transported back to your hotel for your last evening in Erzurum. Make sure to sample all of the Turkish delicacies that you haven’t tried yet, as you enjoy your last buffet dinner. Take some time to enjoy the lights of the city as the sun sets over the mountains.
Day 6: FAREWELL
You will receive free transportation to the Erzurum Airport in time for your journey home.

Gear
Required Equipment:
- Ski and Snowboard rentals are available from the hotel if needed
- Proper clothing appropriate for temperatures ranging from -5C to -25C. You will want good layering to cover the large temperature variation. It is also good to have a good wind protection layer for while you are skiing.
- Helment – because safety is a big concern for Epik Encounter we highly recommend that everyone uses a helmet while skiing. These can also be rented from the hotel if needed.
